Corrosion & Service Envelope

A balanced ferrite austenite microstructure sets this grade apart from ordinary 304 or 316L flanges. Warm brackish conditions rarely trigger chloride stress corrosion cracking here and yield strength runs nearly twice that of austenitic forgings. However it cannot substitute for 2205 or 2507 in seawater or sour environments since pitting resistance stays comparatively limited.
